Woman injured after suspected shark attack in Adelaide
A 32-year-old woman has been left with serious injuries after being attacked by a shark at a beach south of Adelaide, according to paramedics
SA Ambulance Service Report:
A woman was in critical injuries on the head by a shark at Port Noarlunga
Emergency team say her injuries are serious but not life-threatening
They said people had moved to the water after a search failed to locate the shark
The SA Ambulance Service said they received a report that the woman had been injured on the head at about 1:20 pm near the Port Noarlunga Jetty.
A spokesperson said the woman was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre.
SA Police said the woman's injuries were not life-threatening.
Patrols are at the scene speaking with witnesses.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said emergency services evacuated people from the water while a search to locate the shark was undertaken.
Members of the public have since returned to the water after the search failed to locate the shark, they said.
